Join our TEAM! Eco-Pan is a leading service provider of concrete washout services. Specializing in on the job-site solutions for concrete washout needs including handling, treatment, recycling and safe transport of the washout for Commercial, Residential, Municipality and heavy DOT/Infrastructure projects.

We have immediate openings for full-time Drivers responsible for the operation of a truck and crane including driving to and from the job site, operation of the truck, crane and pans.  The driver will keep the equipment clean and in good operating condition. Must have the ability to relate with customers in a professional, responsible manner and must maintain a professional appearance of oneself during operating hours.  Because this is a highly competitive business, the hours worked will be irregular with many last minute changes.  A Driver has to be flexible to the needs of the Company and its customers.  Part of this job is manual labor requiring the processing of concrete and water under the policies and guidelines of the company.

Essential Job Duties

  • Drive and operate the truck in a safe, conscientious and lawful manner while complying with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain all of licenses, DOT Medical card, documents, and testing as required by law to operate equipment.
  • Immediate notification to the Branch Manager, or designate personnel, of any unsafe job-site condition.
  • Assume ownership of any and all decisions made in the course of performing their job and the consequences.
  • Required to report immediately to management any and all incidents and accidents, including those injuries to you.
  • Ensure annual crane inspection is current before operating crane. The crane is inspected and certified on an annual basis and after any failure of a structural member or contact with energized power lines.
  • Ensure crane controls have their functions clearly marked.
  • Know the weight and height of your crane, truck and loading capacities.
  • Maintaining a safe working distance from obstructions such as scaffolding, cars, people and buildings, etc.
  • Ensuring that bridges and work area can support the weight of the unit during transportation and operation.
  • Complete and submit crane inspection forms. Complete and submit crane maintenance forms.
  • Set up system, and clean out the pan after the job while complying with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform light repair of trucks; some maintenance is required. Know truck well enough to recognize problems and report them.
  • Maintain excellent customer relations. Represent the Company through efficient work, courteous service and professional appearance.
  • Return truck and pans to yard and clean truck in appropriate location. Keep yard neat and orderly.
  • Complete and submit truck inspection forms and any other related documentation. Keep an accurate timecard of time worked, including mandatory company and government regulatory breaks.
  • Complete all Work Orders after each work day, ensuring all serial numbers are documented for proper tracking.
  • Keep accurate post trip, “need to repair” sheets and log books. Drivers are responsible to clearly communicate problems with their trucks and cranes and ensure the problems are fixed.
  • Drivers are to ensure the truck and cranes will pass all inspections and safety laws through the pre-trip inspection before operating the equipment. Notice to management when a unit should be placed out of service
  • Travel to various job sites. Maintain log books, permits, expense reports, and receipts as required.
  • Ensure all loads are properly positioned, secured and safely strapped to the truck before operating.
  • Must be able to maintain a flexible schedule, accommodate long hours and overtime as required.

Supervision Exercised
This position does not supervise other employees.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Experience driving straight trucks.
  • Must have some knowledge of mechanics involved to keep the trucks in good running order.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical problems.
  • Must have a clean driving record, valid Class A or B CDL (including air brake endorsement).
  • Must possess valid DOT medical card.
  • Must have knowledge (or the ability to acquire knowledge) in GPS and take directions – Smart phone will be provided by Company
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English; must be able to understand equipment manuals and safety manuals.
  • Experience working with customers and suppliers.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

  • Must be able to meet DOT requirements for hearing and seeing.
  • Must be able to verbally communicate to others.
  • Must possess good manual dexterity to climb on and around the truck in all weather conditions common to the area of the country.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds to overhead position.
  • Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk on uneven terrain, cleated walkways and wire mesh.
  • Must possess the ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to tolerate seated posture for long periods of time while driving trucks from one location to another.
  • Must tolerate working environment with outside temperatures that include excessive heat, cold, wind, and precipitation.

Compensation and Benefits
The incumbent selected for this position is eligible for a starting hourly rate of $23.00-25.00 per hour (depending on experience) and participation in quarterly bonus program. We are pleased to offer a comprehensive benefits program to our valued employees and your family members.
